Haus Bommerholz

The workshop location, Haus Bommerholz, is the international guest house of the University of Dortmund, Germany. It is located in Witten, a town on the southern edge of the Ruhr region. This region, ranging from Duisburg in the west to Dortmund in the east, is named after the river Ruhr, which connects several cities belonging to the largest urban area in Europe.

Haus Bommerholz itself is situated in a quiet woodland apart from the large cities. It provides full board and lodging as well as meeting rooms and technical facilities for small to medium size conferences.

There are 26 single and 12 double bedrooms, equipped with bathroom, telephone, and TV. During the workshop, terminals with internet access will be provided for reading and writing email.

Possible recreation activities during the workshop breaks and evenings include taking a walk in the woods around Haus Bommerholz, playing table tennis, or tasting German beer in the "Pilsstube" (a small bar inside the building).
